Terms and conditions

  1. This car park is private land at the rear of 42 Kent Street, Portsmouth PO1 3BT, operated by Robert Scotts Commerce LTD (company number 14252682, registered office Unit 2 Forty Acres, Coombe Road, Petersfield, GU32 1PP) under licence from the landowner. These terms form the contract between you and the operator when you park here.
  2. Parking is permitted only for vehicles with a valid paid session or permit. Payment is made online using the QR code displayed in the car park, or at this website. Payment is taken by Stripe.
  3. The tariff shown on this website applies. Prices include VAT where applicable. Weekend prices apply on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays in England. A session starts at the time of payment and ends at the time shown on your confirmation.
  4. You must enter your vehicle registration correctly at checkout. Staff check registrations against the list of paid vehicles. A payment made against the wrong registration does not cover your vehicle. If you notice a mistake, email admin@robertscotts.com straight away with your receipt.
  5. A permit grants access to the car park, not a reserved bay, unless a reserved bay permit is purchased. Spaces are available on a first come, first served basis and entry is not guaranteed when the car park is full. One vehicle per permit at any time. Weekday permits are valid Monday to Friday only.
  6. Vehicles parked without a valid session or permit, or beyond the paid time, are parked in breach of these terms. The operator may ask the driver to move the vehicle and may refuse future entry. The operator does not issue penalty charge notices.
  7. Permits renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time using the link in your Stripe receipt email or by emailing admin@robertscotts.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. See Cancellations and refunds.
  8. The car park has no barrier and no automatic number plate recognition. Staff patrol on foot.
  9. Vehicles and their contents are left at the owner's risk. The operator is not liable for loss, theft or damage except where caused by its negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
  10. No overnight sleeping in vehicles, no vehicle repairs or washing, no storage of fuel, no commercial vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, no trailers.
  11. Complaints: email admin@robertscotts.com. If we cannot resolve a dispute, you may take the matter to the courts of England and Wales. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
