Robert Scotts Commerce LTD (company number 14252682, registered office Unit 2 Forty Acres, Coombe Road, Petersfield, GU32 1PP) is the data controller for this website and the car park at Rear of 42 Kent Street, Portsmouth PO1 3BT. Contact: admin@robertscotts.com.
What we collect
- Vehicle registration, entered at checkout.
- Email address and, where you give it, name and billing address, collected by Stripe at checkout.
- Payment details. These go directly to Stripe. We never see your full card number.
- The product bought, the amount paid, and the start and end time of your session or permit.
Why we use it
- To provide the parking you paid for and to check, on foot, which vehicles have paid. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To send your receipt and permit renewal emails through Stripe. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To show you your own payments, vehicles and permits when you sign in with your email, and to let you save a card with Stripe for next time if you choose. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- To keep accounting records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To deal with refunds, complaints and disputes. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
- To email you about parking offers, only if you ticked the box at checkout. Lawful basis: consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or email admin@robertscotts.com to stop.
Who sees it
Stripe Payments Europe Ltd processes payments and stores payment and contact details under its own privacy policy. Our list of paid vehicles is stored with Supabase on servers in London, and the website is hosted by Vercel. Our staff see the registration, product type and expiry time on the staff page. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else and we have no access to DVLA records.
How long we keep it
Parking records are kept for 6 years after the payment to meet accounting rules, then deleted. Stripe keeps its own records under its policy.
Cookies
This website sets a cookie only when you sign in (customer account or staff page) to keep you signed in. It is strictly necessary and needs no consent. Sign in links are sent by Resend, our email provider. Stripe sets its own cookies on the Stripe checkout page for fraud prevention.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, or ask us to restrict it. Email admin@robertscotts.com. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
